The motive and outcome of survey —
Working Americans survey samples shared their views that gen Z and millennials are more interested towards decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) and working remotely instead of on-site work in the post-Covid-19 world.
MetisDAO Foundation conducted a survey in which 1,100 Americans took part. The survey collected the views and opinions of working remotely from the participants and evolution of DAO’s in recent years.
The most important point of view is that Covid-19 has affected workers’ sentiments and evolution of DAO’s in Corporate governance.
According to the researched report on DAO published by the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance, the outcome of the survey shows that DAO’s treasuries was expanded from $400 million to $16 billion in 2021.
The figure of participation in the field increased by 13 thousand users to 1.6 million during the same period of time. If these figures are compared to some other multinational organizations then it is equal to 18 Facebooks, seven Microsofts ,11 Google and 1 Amazon.
The unexpected and sudden migration to remote working situations in the Covid has indirectly increased the focus towards DAO and decentralized autonomous companies (DAC) among Gen Z and millennial category of generations.
The data from the survey shows that approximately 75% of participants believe that companies should realize the fact that how they operate their business to offer work from home options.
The survey reports that 47% of respondents claim that they are comfortable working for a DAO or DAC as a contracted employee. The survey emphasized showing that Gen Z and millennials are more eagerly interested in working for a DAO or DAC than any other age group.
However, the GenZ employers explained DAO better than employers from the other age group of people and the Gen Z participants also illustrate DAOs as a ‘revolutionary movement changing the future of work’.
MetisDAO’s survey reported, “The survey results show that a majority of respondents seek all of the things that DACs provide; remote work opportunities, independence from management, and influence over the organizations they work in.”
