Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the most populous city in Dubai, recently presided over a meeting in his capacity as Chairman of the Executive Council.
The agenda of the meeting was to light up and inspect ideas. This can continuously develop and advance the development of Dubai.
Prince Hamdan Bin Mohammed reported on Twitter that, recently he visited Dubai Municipality along with his brother Maktoum Mohammed, and discussed the development of organisation’s reconstructing and major strategic projects.
Sheikh Hamdan visits Dubai’s Municipality
As per the report, Dubai Municipality will undertake 200 initiatives. For the next two years for the betterment of the lives of the citizens in the city. As mentioned, 60% of the projects will be done in collaboration with the private sector. And include ambitions such as beautification of the city and steps towards sustainability.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum took to Twitter and confirmed the approval of “200 transformational initiatives to be implemented over the next 2 years.”
He further reported that he also gave a green signal to a plan to beautify public squares and ancient sites. According to him, Dubai Municipality “ is set to play an even bigger role in transforming Dubai into the world’s best city to live in with initiatives featuring advanced technologies that will improve people’s quality of life.”
Moving forward, Sheikh Hamdan added, Dubai Municipality is answerable not only for issuing basic services, but also for increasing well-being. Work towards the satisfaction and betterment of all Dubai residents. The corporate modification of the Municipality is to increase the quality of its projects. Looking forward to expecting more in the coming time.
Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who served in the United Arab Emirates as Vice and Prime Minister of the country. Dubai is an international city and his highness Mohammed Bin Rashid aim is to build the city “the most beautiful and best in the world.”
Reportedly, Dubai Municipality’s activation is 80% done. Notably, 170 initiatives executed as part of the Executive Director’s 100 days plans.
It is noteworthy that till now the Dubai Municipality has planted more than 500,000 trees. To increase the beautification of the emirate between the years 2020 and 2022.
Dubai Smart City Agenda
Dubai Municipality gave an update on the city beautification agenda which intends to achieve innovative projects. Initiatives for landscaping the city and through landscaped streets, pedestrians walkways,public squares and historical sites to promote the well-being of the city’s citizens and tourists.
Recently, on 19 February 2023, Dubai’s crown prince approved a new model. Intend to help Dubai Government departments build their performance by pointing out innovation and quality. The model will also classify quality of life and community betterment.
Hamdan bin Mohammed tweeted, “we approved a new model for government excellence in Dubai. With a focus on social impact, future readiness, & local talent development.”
According to the reports, the Municipality has also inspected over 6 Million laboratories between 2020 and 2022. Aiming to ensure high levels of public health and food safety.
