Market Capitalize holds its journalists to a clear ethical standard. This policy covers conflicts of interest, financial holdings and the integrity of our reporting.
Conflicts of interest
Staff must avoid any conflict — real or perceived — between their personal interests and their reporting. Where a relevant interest exists, it is disclosed within the article or the writer recuses themselves.
Personal holdings
Writers may hold crypto or stocks, but must disclose any position in an asset that is the primary subject of a piece, and may not trade on the basis of unpublished work or trade in a way designed to benefit from our coverage.
Gifts and inducements
We do not accept payment, gifts or inducements in exchange for coverage or for favourable treatment. Sponsored content is handled separately and always labelled.
Sources
We treat sources fairly, honour agreed terms, and protect confidential sources where appropriate. We do not fabricate quotes or sources.
Accountability
Concerns about a possible breach can be raised via our Contact page and are reviewed by the editorial desk.
