Fox Periodical — Mobile App Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 July 2026

This policy explains what the Fox Periodical Android app (“the app”) collects, why, and your choices. It applies to the mobile app published under the package name com.foxperiodical.app. For the website privacy policy, see our main privacy page.

Summary

  • The app is read-only market information. It has no accounts, no login, and no way to buy or sell any asset.
  • We collect the minimum needed to deliver price alerts and news notifications: an app-generated device identifier and, if you enable notifications, a push token.
  • We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, photos, or browsing history.
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking.

What we collect and why

Data Purpose Shared?
App-generated device identifier (a random UUID sent as the X-FP-Device header) To register your device so your price alerts and watchlist can be associated with it. Not linked to your real-world identity. No
Push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), only if you allow notifications To deliver crypto/markets news and price-alert notifications you have requested. Processed by Google Firebase solely to deliver the message; not shared for any other purpose.

Everything the app displays — prices, charts, market data and news — is fetched from our own service at foxperiodical.com. The app does not send your data to any other company, except the push token described above, which is handled by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging only to deliver notifications.

What we do NOT collect

No name, email address, phone number, postal address, precise or coarse location, contacts, calendar, photos, files, microphone, camera, health data, or web-browsing history. The app requests only the Internet permission and (optionally) the notifications permission.

Data retention and deletion

Your device identifier and any price alerts you create are stored only for as long as your device is registered. You can remove this data at any time by:

  • Deleting your price alerts inside the app, and/or
  • Uninstalling the app, which ends the device registration.

To request deletion of any remaining associated records, contact us at the email below and we will remove them.

Security

All communication between the app and our servers uses encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections.

Children

The app provides financial and market information and is intended for adults (18+). It is not directed to children.

Not financial advice

Fox Periodical is an information and education tool. The data and content in the app are for general information only, are not investment advice, and the app does not offer trading, brokerage, or any means to buy or sell assets.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
